We host lectures about exciting new research in AI. Past presenters include distinguished USC faculty and researchers at the Information Sciences Institute and the Institute for Creative Technologies. We also offer technical workshops for our members to gain exposure to AI algorithms, methods, and embedded systems mediums through small DIY projects.
We wants to foster community through competitions. With game competitions and hackathons, we plan on making people become connected by forming teams and fighting to be the best. Who knows, they might become best friends.
We arrange information sessions that allow companies of varying industries to recruit our members for employment opportunities in applied artificial intelligence. Recruiters in entertainment, defense, and commercial sectors have presented information sessions to our chapter, including JPL, Northrop Grumman, and Walt Disney Imagineering.
Outside of courses and professional and technical events, we see a value in allowing our members to engage amongst themselves, as we hope that they may build lasting relationships as classmates, colleagues, and friends. Previous events include movie nights and an outing to a hobbyist robotics manufacturer.
